Affordable Housing Program

The mission of the Affordable Housing Program is to provide safe, decent, affordable housing to low and very low income families within the City of Eau Claire.

ECAHMAA operates sixteen affordable housing units. All units were acquired through grants from the

Eau Claire Housing Authority, donations and/or non-profit lenders. Families under the Affordable Housing Program may also receive other services such as home ownership preparedness, employment assistance,

and/or access to the Food Pantry.

To be eligible, families must meet one of the criteria below, pass a credit and criminal background check,

and be income eligible (see income chart here).

  • Adults with children under the age of 18

  • Seniors ages 55+

  • Persons with disabilities

Combined household income must be at or below 60% of Eau Claire County median household income limit.

To apply for housing, an application must be submitted with all adult household members' credit report, copies of driver's licenses, and verification of income. Please contact the Housing Coordinator at 715-832-8420 if you have questions about your eligibility or the application process.
