Building Bridges
for Youth

Top Pick (2).png

OUR VISION

Building Bridges brings together young people of various cultures who may have come from disrupted backgrounds to connect them to themselves, their friends, their families, and their community to create a brighter future.

OUR MISSION

Building Bridges aims to empower and engage Hmong youth by creating a strong sense of identity, leadership, and community through a variety of educational, enjoyable, and service-based activities. Combining traditional Hmong practices with modern skill-building opportunities, hoping to promote personal development, improve academic and career readiness, strengthen intergenerational bonds, and provide youth with the tools they may need to become active, and confident leaders in their communities.

HISTORY

Building Bridges started in 1994  assisting refugee Hmong youth and their families adjust to life in Eau Claire. The program now has a focus on bringing education, prevention, and intervention of domestic violence within Hmong and other minority youth.

Our program offers lessons, activities, and mentors for middle and high school aged youth to help build connections with their safety, belonging, and growth in mind.

We want to bridge the gap between the worlds of our youth to create a brighter future.
